Born and raised in Guam, I attended  St. Anthony School and Father Duenas Memorial High School. After graduating near the top of my class, I spent 1 year at the University of Nevada Las Vegas and completed my 4-year degree at the University of San Diego graduating Magna Cum Laude in 2010. I received my degree in Business Administration while focusing on New Ventures, Business Planning and Development, and International Marketing. The focus was to create a well-rounded understanding of a business’s needs from the start-up and planning, an understanding of supply chain and project management, and through to sales, operations, and marketing. While developing this educational background, I completed several internships including one at the University of San Diego’s Sports Marketing Department and the other at one of San Diego’s fastest-growing companies, Internet Marketing Inc. It was during these internships that I gained a better grasp of on-the-ground marketing tactics and gained my first glimpse of the great impact that a digital footprint can have on a business and the importance of a properly structured, designed, and executed digital strategy.

To further bridge the gap between operations and sales, I spent my first 6 years in San Diego working for Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage as a Residential Real Estate Agent. This provided a solid foundation for contracts, sales, marketing, funnels, project management, and customer engagement. As I built my portfolio, I found myself creating websites for my Real Estate Business, as well as, being asked to create the online presence and digital footprints for other agents in my office.

In 2015, I initiated my career change to Digital Marketing and Website Design and Development by taking courses in online design, e-commerce, and coding. With a solid footing in the basics of business development and execution, I wanted to start by working with businesses back home in Guam. Since then, I have worked with Tour operations, hotels, travel agencies, real estate agents, restaurants, breweries, organic product companies, market research firms, the University of Guam, shipment groups, and companies requiring everything from informational pass-throughs to fully functioning membership and e-commerce sites. Beyond the set up of a website, I have worked with small- to medium-sized operations to create logos, brand and style guides, set up and manage social media platforms, e-mail marketing platforms and campaigns, paid advertising campaigns to local and source markets, and have been regularly tasked with ad hoc designs for creatives relating to events, multi-language campaigns, and more localized projects.

While the local and global markets have created tumultuous environments for businesses across various industries, I have continued to grow, learn, and adapt by attending globally influenced marketing seminars for online marketing and design agencies. I am proud to say I have helped businesses increase sales, increase brand awareness, and developed and executed plans that have yielded increases in overall e-commerce conversion rates and sales. Additionally, I have received a designation as part of a pilot initiative, the RCPP Director’s Fellows for the UOG Regional Center Policy based on the work I’ve continued with www.GuamRecovery.com to aid in Guam’s pandemic resilience and economic recovery.

I utilize a variety of hosting site, CMS, social media, analytics and reporting, email marketing, and design programs and platforms to create a vertically aligned business and marketing strategy. From conception to final sales and adaptations based on analytics and real-time data, a company can expect a structured and unified plan of action. Thanks to the partnerships with each client, I have been able to adapt to multiple industries and particular functions and work with each individual or team to deliver on the targeted objectives.
